Camp Verde Unified School District Gifted Program

The Camp Verde Unified School District Gifted Program is dedicated to identifying, challenging, and supporting students who demonstrate exceptional intellectual ability, academic potential, creativity, and advanced learning needs. Our program provides enriched educational opportunities designed to foster critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, leadership, and a lifelong love of learning.

Through a combination of differentiated instruction, enrichment experiences, advanced learning opportunities, and individualized support, the Gifted Program strives to ensure that students are appropriately challenged and engaged in their educational journey. We recognize that gifted learners often require unique instructional approaches to maximize their potential and develop their talents in meaningful ways.

The Camp Verde USD Gifted Program is committed to creating learning environments where students can explore their interests, pursue intellectual challenges, collaborate with peers, and develop the skills necessary for future academic and personal success. Our program supports the whole child by nurturing not only academic excellence but also social-emotional growth, self-advocacy, and resilience.

Program oversight is provided by Erin LeBeau, Curriculum Director, who ensures the district's gifted services align with state requirements and district goals. Direct services and program coordination are provided by Lisa Mina, Program Coordinator and Gifted Teacher at Camp Verde Middle School, and Denise Meyer, Gifted Teacher at Camp Verde Elementary School. Together, they work collaboratively with students, families, and staff to provide meaningful learning experiences that inspire students to reach their highest potential.
