The FAFSA is Now Open!

If you're planning to attend a college or trade school, now is the time to get started! The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is a crucial step in securing financial aid — and I’m here to help.

Important: As a student, you must complete your portion of the FAFSA before your parents can complete theirs.

This is a time-sensitive process — the sooner you apply, the better your chances of receiving aid.

A quick reminder that February 2nd is the general application deadline for students applying for Fall 2026 admission. Please encourage your students to submit their applications by this date to ensure full consideration.

Applications received after February 2nd will be reviewed on a space-available basis, and if a student is admissible, they will be placed on a waitlist.

College/Career Visits and Representatives visiting CHS.  

LyondellBasell Tour - February 5
We have a career exploration trip planned to tour LyondellBasell. Students will learn more about the company and explore potential career paths.
Our primary focus will be on the Operating Technician role, including information about the new EICC Process Technician Certificate that helps prepare individuals for these positions.

There are 4 spots available-please let me know soon if you are interested. The tour will be offered to Juniors and Seniors.

Kirkwood Community College Visit March 2nd
We will leave Camanche High School at 8:10 AM and arrive at Kirkwood around 10:30 AM.

Agenda:

• 10:40 AM: Rec Center tour and restroom break

• 11:00 AM: Village Apartments tour

• 11:20 AM: Admissions overview

• 11:45 AM: Ambassador panel

• 12:00 PM: Campus tour

• 12:25-12:45 PM: Lunch (pizza and lemonade/water provided)

• 12:45 PM: Depart Kirkwood
