Screen Writing Club

Welcome to the Screen Writing Club! We are a new and upcoming club here at CPA. The Screenwriters Club focusses on writing screen plays or scripts for films including acting instructions and scene directions. In this club, we are going to learn how to read and understand screenplays as well as how to write our own. We will collaborate with each other and share our knowledge in order to write to the best of our abilities.

What's happening in our club?

Our club has been really busy. We had a character outline assignment where we made up a fake character. We wrote flaws, backstory, and much more. We then were assigned to write a screenplay based on that character. We were just assigned a new assignment to create a character map of a Biblical character, individual, or group.

Hear from our club participants!

Dariah P. says: "I think it's awesome! I've only participated in two meetings, but it's really good, and I'm super impressed with how smoothly it runs and how everyone gets along! You guys are doing an amazing job!"

Luke D. says: "So far the club is fantastic! The meetings are extremely fun, and the community is great. Every time we meet, it is like a weight lifted off my shoulders, and I get to just enjoy myself and do something I love. The participation is fantastic from most members, and the work is stupendous! I can't wait to continue with this club, to see the places it goes, and to see the things it does!

Asa D. says: "I love participating in the Screenwriting Club. The other students are horribly fun to work with, and the meetings are always a highlight of my school week. It's amazing to see the things that other people come up with, which then goes on to inspire my own work. "
