Hello!

My name is Mrs. Kleinschmidt and I am so excited to be teaching 2nd grade for my second year. Previous to this year I taught in 5th grade, as well as 7th and 8th grade. I live in Chippewa Falls with my husband, but am happy to be a proud member of the Cadott School Family. In my free time I enjoy gardening, eating out, reading, and doing various crafting activities. I know it is going to be a fantastic year!

I'm Heather Matherne. This is my 8th year teaching in Cadott. I taught sixth grade for three years, and this is my fifth year teaching second grade.

I grew up just down the road in Augusta. The University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire is where I obtained my elementary/middle education degree. I'm certified to teach grades 1-9.  In 2022, I graduated from UW-La Crosse with my Master's in Education- Reading Specialist.

I have been married to my husband  for 20 years, and we have three sons.  When I'm not at school, you can find me spending time with my family, reading, kayaking, or refinishing furniture.

In my classroom, I like to use creative and unique ways to engage my students. We typically use a lot of movement and relationship-building to get us started each day. I'm also very big on communicating.  Working together with my families is where I see the most success for each of my students. Together we are better!

Hello!

My name is Nancy Weiss and I teach second grade at Cadott Elementary School. I have taught here since 1990. Most of the years I have taught second grade.  I have stayed in second grade because I am interested in teaching all of the subjects and I like observing the huge gains in academic growth the students make in one year at this age. I believe that people should continually learn something new every day! Therefore, I have a growth mindset for myself and my students.  It is never dull in education. Each day is a new adventure. I enjoy working at Cadott Elementary because the people are supportive and willing to work hard. In a small school, we must work together for the interest of the students.
