All staff are entitled to a free Specsavers voucher. The voucher covers the cost of a full eye examination and a £20 discount off glasses from the £99 range and above.

We all spend a huge portion of our working day staring at a screen and so we need to look after our eyes.

When the prescription is required specifically and solely for VDU use, you will receive a pair of single vision glasses from the £45 range or a £45 contribution towards another pair.

The voucher does not cover glasses which, as well as VDU use, could also be used for additional tasks such as reading or driving, even if this is not their recommended use.

In the meantime, to give your eye muscles a rest, apply the 20-20-20 rule: every 20 minutes look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds!
