On 1st October, Advice Session Supervisor Jill Maddison celebrated an amazing 20 years with CACBG.
The Bargoed staff and volunteers arranged a surprise party for her the day before, which included a presentation from Chief Officer, Simon Ellington.
Jill initially joined the organisation over 22 years ago as a volunteer before becoming a paid member of staff.
It's an amazing achievement. Well done Jill.
(P.S. Any of that cake left?)
Staff and volunteers compiled a 'memory board' depicting some of Jill's 20 years at CACBG.
Well done and thank you to all the staff and volunteers in Bargoed. On the first of a two day McMillan Coffee Morning they have raised £187.70.
David Williams joined CACBG in November 2011 as part of the Generalist Outreach team in Bargoed. More recently David worked on Test And Learn project where David's particular experience with helping people with Autism and/or a learning disability meant he could help many families across Caerphilly and Blaenau Gwent by carrying out a full assessment, tailored to their individual needs.
David is now looking forward to a well earned retirement and, though we are sad to see him go, we wish him all the very best.
Simon looks on enviously as David opens his gifts. "Hmm, those windchimes would go nicely with the Dreamcatcher in my office".
Err, no idea!
Oo, that's comforting.
Claire Lovell, who first joined us in the Bargoed Admin team during lockdown in October 2020 before being snapped up by the Help to Claim team. She left us last month to go to Caerphilly Council to work with housing homeless. She will also be missed and we wish her well in the future.
