Covid has not gone away, despite the restrictions being lifted. In fact, there has been a worrying increase of cases recently.
We may have relaxed most measures in our offices but we are still asking you all to be mindful of the fact that Covid is unpredictable.
Those of us not in training or on probation are now working from the office for a minimum 40% of our working week week, and some of us have chosen to return to the office full-time. Keeping you safe is our main priority. This is why we are asking you all to continue with the health and safety practices introduced at both Bargoed office and the Caerphilly Contact Centre.
Anxiety about the removal of restrictions is understandable. Please respect people’s choice to wear a mask, if they so wish. We do have some vulnerable people working with us and if a colleague asks you to wear a mask in certain situations, please respect their wishes where possible. We would also encourage that you maintain a sensible distance where possible.
Hand washing is still as important now, as it was when we were in the grips of the pandemic and is an effective way of preventing the spread of a range of diseases, such as the common cold, flu and norovirus. The hygiene stations and screens are set to remain for the foreseeable future.
If you experience any Covid like symptoms please speak to your line manager/team leader who will determine the best course of action. We would also encourage you to take a lateral flow test. Free lateral flow tests are available subject to eligibility criteria and can be ordered online at https://www.gov.uk/order-coronavirus-rapid-lateral-flow-tests
We all have a responsibility to keep each other safe and the whole management team and Trustee Board thank you for working with us on this.
The digital signing in system tells us who is in our offices each day.
It is important that we all sign in every time we arrive and leave the office so we know who is in the building in the event of an emergency. We use this to check that everyone who needs to be evacuated from the building has been and that we haven't left anyone behind. We also don't want Fire Marshal searching the building for staff who have gone out to lunch.
Even if you are just popping out for five minutes, you should still sign out and sign in.
If you forget your pass you can sign in manually, following the instructions on the screen. If you have any issues with your pass, please let your manager or team leader know.
