Welcome to the EA Integrated Education Hub
The Integrated Education Hub has been developed by the Shared Education and Sectoral Support Team as a platform for raising awareness of Integrated Education, providing information for schools wishing to become Integrated through the process of Transformation and showcasing best practice in Integrated Education. The Hub will expand and develop over time to reflect the needs of Integrated schools and those practitioners involved in delivering Integrated Education.
The video below provides an overview of the development and growth of Integrated Education and outlines the vision and values promoted within Integrated schools.
The Education Authority has a statutory duty to encourage, facilitate and support Integrated Education.
To enable this duty, EA works in collaboration with a number of arms length bodies and external organisations including, the Council for Integrated Education (NICIE), the Integrated Education Fund (IEF) and the Controlled Schools' Support Council (CSSC).
These partnerships ensure the delivery of a cohesive and effective system of support for established Integrated schools and those seeking Integrated status.
More information about the history and nature of Integrated Education can be found on the websites of NICIE and IEF as detailed below.
If you are new to the idea of Integrated Education it is recommended that you take time to read and browse both of these websites.
