Please refer to the following Google Slides for the final results for Bowen Sports Week 2021. Remember to switch on your audio as we have recorded our messages for you in the slides. Thank you for your patience (as well as support) to tally the results and ensure that all classes were represented by a teaching staff.
We seek your understanding as we could only give out medals to the relay teams due to the increased costs in the total number of medals (more participants per team). Nonetheless, we have sorted the event data by school, level and class to affirm each and everyone's effort in this event.
While there are classes that have done better, we encourage all classes to look beyond the results and celebrate your achievement in this event as this is the collective effort of your class; the collective effort of the whole school and truly one of the special ways we could get everyone involved despite the trying COVID situation. We look forward to your continued support in our future events.
Dear Bowenians!
As the nation still grapples with the COVID19 situation, with SMM of 50 participants per venue, it is not possible for the school to engage students in mass participation activities like Sports Day and Mass Run in the usual format.
However, we would want to let all students experience some form of school-wide sports competition and we have designed a sports challenge week which comprises fitness challenge items and modified relay run. While holding the events on separate days (Max of 2 classes at a venue with zoning of less than 50 participants) will take more time and resources, the PE department hopes that this new format will allow ALL students to contribute to their class as it is possible to record scores for everyone!
Hence, we would like to seek your support to make this a memorable event by contributing your best in the 30s fitness challenge items and the relay runs! You can also get your teachers to represent your class to get more points!
As usual, we will have a live update chart and do visit this page for it! Please also refer to the schedule for your class and prepare to give your best on that day! (Remember to get your teachers down!)
