Schedule:

• 4:00pm - Girls

• 4:45pm - Boys

Race Format: This race will utilize a “time trial” start. Runners will start on a buzzer every 4 seconds. Athletes will be seeded by season best times, with the fastest runner starting first. The races will be staged and started as follows:

• The first runner will stage at the start line (mask can be off)

• The second runner will stage at the “on-deck” cone (mask can be off)

• All other runners will stage behind, in order of seed/bib number, with masks on.

• The first runner will begin on the gun, the second runner will then move to the start line and the third runner will step to the “on-deck” cone while removing their mask

• Each successive runner will begin on the buzzer

Location: Horizon High School, 5321 E. 136th Ave, Thornton, 80602

Course: 5000 meter course on turf, track, grass and sidewalk

Teams: Boulder, Fossil Ridge, Horizon, Legacy, Mountain Range

Entries: 10 entries per school, collected via Google spreadsheet.

Team Camps: Can be setup anywhere outside of the track area; be mindful of the course and stay apart from other teams.

Parking: Spectators may use the parking lots to the southwest and northeast of the tennis courts.

Cost: None

Timing: Electronic timing via RaceTab ran by Horizon. Finish times will be done to the nearest second.

Team Scoring: The top 5 runners score; only 7 runners will be included for team scoring.

Other Notes:

• All district, county, state and CHSAA guidelines must be followed.

• The finish area will be wide enough to allow 3 athletes to cross the finish line with appropriate distance.

• There will be no chute, just a finish line.

• Masks should be reapplied as soon as finishing.
