Your new phones are "Hosted Voice" phones (Internet phones). They do not plug into a copper line, they use the CAT6 Network drops in our buildings, the same lines your computers use. Below you will find some basic information about how to use your phones. I will add information about your extensions as I get them updated and working.
Simply press the voicemail button to begin setting up your voicemail box. Your default voicemail password is: 135790 After you punch that into your voicemail the first time, it will ask you to change it. Your passcode must be a 6 digit number. If you put something too simple...like 22 22 22...it will not allow you to use it. After you have punched in your new passcode twice, it will ask you to record your voicemail name. ONLY SAY YOUR NAME. The system will already say the other parts of the voicemail message and just insert your name into the script. That's all there is to it. If you forget your passcode or get locked out, then you need to put in a helpdesk ticket, just like with email. When I have finished setting up the system, your voicemails will be emailed to you so you can listen to them through your email. This feature was not automatically turned on for everyone for some reason, so I am having to go into each account individually to activate it. I appreciate your patience. There is also a way to call your voicemailbox from an outside phone...I will add more detailed instructions later on for more of the bells and whistles of the system.
