7. Add, subtract, multiply, and divide decimals to hundredths, using concrete models or drawings and strategies based on place value, properties of operations, and/or the relationship between addition and subtraction; relate the strategy to a written method and explain the reasoning used.

The homework and test are going to look very similar to the problems on this page. The numbers will be different. You should try many of the problems on the example sheet to see if you can do them. Try some towards the top, and some near the bottom. If there are different types of problems on the same sheet, you should try at least two of each type. If you do not understand how to work anything on this page, ASK THE TEACHER. When you are finished practicing on this page, you can go to your Google Classroom and begin your homework.

Below you will find many videos that show how to complete this standard. They show a variety of ways to work the same types of problems. You do not have to be able to work the problems every way, you just need to be comfortable working them a couple (2) different ways.

So, the interesting part about 5.NBT.7 is that you have to be able to do all four operations with decimals...and each operation has its own little quirk that decimals add to the mix. These can get tedious, and frustrating, but with practice and patience, you can get them correct.
