What an end to the school year! The children have worked exceptionally hard in all areas of the curriculum. Not only did we continue our topic 'The Big Smoke' we also introduced the children to French to give them a taste of what to expect in year 3. Of course we also had to give them a taste of some French sweet treats such as apple tart and brioche.Â
This term saw the children refine their letter writing skills. Not only did they write persuasive letters in the role of Samuel Pepys, they also wrote to their new teacher and parents to share what they are proud of this year and what they are looking forward to. Both classes have become quite competitive with TTRS with both classes keen to win the weekly competition. Many of the children are becoming fluent in their 2, 5 and 10 times tables which will help them hugely in KS2.
We wish all the children and their families a wonderful, restful and enjoyable summer break and look forward to hearing all about their achievements and hard work in year 3.
