These are resources you may want to use in your classroom for the first week or two of school, but are not required. It has a lot of lessons on things like morning routine, how to greet others, classroom expectations, and their environment which are longer than typical Morning Meeting lessons so there is no way to use it all. Pick and choose what works for you and your classroom in addition to week 1 lessons or just go right to the week 1 lessons. Click HERE for lesson demos for training if you need.
Week 1 | Introduction of Habits 1-4 (M 1 L 1-4)
Learners will be able to describe Habits 1–4 and how they support learning, personal development, and positive classroom culture.
Week 2 Introduction of Habits 5-8 (M2 L 5-8)
Learners will be able to describe Habits 5–8 and how they support learning, personal development, and positive classroom culture.
Week 3 | Leading Myself and Others, 7 Habits Tree, Paradigms (M3 L9-12)
Learners will be able to describe the 7 Habits Tree and apply maximizing paradigms of leadership potential and change to themselves.
Week 4 Habit 1: Be Proactive, Growth Mindset (M4 L13-16)
Learners will be able to describe a growth mindset and phrases to help them have a growth mindset.
Week 5 Habit 1: Be Proactive, Recognizing my Emotions (M6 L21-24)
Learners will be able to identify emotions (sad, mad, happy, surprised, scared, and disappointed) and will be able to describe how noticing, naming, and thinking about emotions can help them be in charge of themselves.
Week 6 | Habit 1: Be Proactive, Using Calming Strategies (M7 L25-28)
Learners will be able to practice calming strategies and create a plan for self-regulation.
Week 7 | Habit 1: Be Proactive, Taking Responsibility (M8 L29-32)
Learners will be able to describe how taking responsibility for their actions and focusing on what they can control can help them Be Proactive.
Week 8 | Habit 7: Sharpening the Saw, Leading my Learning* (M5 L17-20)
*Note: This week will not match our calendar for the habits and the months of the year, but this module is designed and best fits as a beginning of the year module.
Learners will be able to describe what it means to lead their learning and how to engage with their learning through questions, hand signals, or feedback.
Week 9 | Habit 2: Begin with the End in Mind, What Matters Most (M9 L33-36)
Learners will be able to describe people, places, things, and behaviors important to them.
Week 10 | Habit 2: Begin with the End in Mind, Developing my Personal Mission Statement (M10 L37-40)
*Monday: TDD/Student Holiday
Learners will be able to create a personal mission statement that reflects important aspects of themselves.
Week 11 | Habit 2: Begin with the End in Mind (M11 L41-44)
Learners will be able to describe what it means to Begin With the End in Mind and define expectations for essential classroom systems.
Week 12 | Habit 2: Begin with the End in Mind (TE 74-81; SE 64-71)

Week 13 | Habit 3: Put First Things First, Determining Priorities (M12 L45-48)
Learners will be able to explain what a priority is and will be able to develop a shortlist of their highest priorities.
Week 14 | Habit 3: Put First Things First, Making Decisions (M13 L49-52)
Learners will be able to Put First Things First by describing how to make choices based on things that are most important to them.
Week 15 | Habit 3: Put First Things First, Planning Weekly (M14 L50-53)
Learners will be able to design a weekly class plan and will assess their time on task during class activities.
Week 16 | The 4 Disciplines of Execution®, Setting Goals (M15 L57-60)
Learners will be able to identify a goal they want to achieve and the action steps needed to meet their goal.
Week 17 | The 4 Disciplines of Execution®, Achieving Goals (M16 L61-64)
Learners will be able to design lead measures and describe how to use a scoreboard and Accountability Partners to help them achieve their goals.
Week 18 | Habit 2: Begin With the End in Mind, Accountability Partners* (M17 L65-68)
*Note: This module is designed to follow module 16.

Learners will be able to describe the Emotional Bank Account and identify specific behaviors that will build trust in an important relationship.

Learners will be able to describe how to be a good friend and how to teach it to others.

Learners will be able to use Trust Behaviors to restore trust when mistakes are made in relationships.
