These are resources you may want to use in your classroom for the first week or two of school, but are not required. It has a lot of lessons on things like morning routine, how to greet others, classroom expectations, and their environment which are longer than typical Morning Meeting lessons so there is no way to use it all. Pick and choose what works for you and your classroom in addition to week 1 lessons or just go right to the week 1 lessons. Click HERE for lesson demos for training if you need.
Week 1 | Introduction of Habits 1-4 (M 1 L 1-4)
Learners will be able to describe Habits 1–4 and how they support learning, personal development, and a positive classroom culture.
Week 2 | Introduction of Habits 5-8 (M2 L 5-8)
Learners will be able to describe Habits 5–8 and how they will support learning, personal development, and a positive classroom culture.
Week 3 | Paradigm: Everyone can be a leader, Habit 1 (M3 L9-12)
Learners will be able to describe ways to lead and will identify ways to contribute to their classroom, school, and household.
Week 4 | Habit 1: Be Proactive, Growth Mindset (M4 L13-16)
Learners will be able to identify something they would like to learn and practice applying a growth mindset.
Week 5 | Habit 1: Be Proactive, Leading My Learning (M5 L17-20)
Learners will be able to describe student-led learning and will practice leading their learning through questions, learning targets, and hand signals.
Week 6 | Habit 1: Be Proactive, Recognizing My Emotions (M6 L21-24)
Learners will be able to notice emotions in their body and name emotions they feel.
Week 7 | Habit 1: Be Proactive, My Calming Strategies (M7 L25-28)
Learners will be able to describe The Pause Plan and will build a personal toolbox of calming strategies for self-regulation.
Week 8 | Habit 1: Be Proactive, Taking Charge of Myself (M8 L29-32)
Learners will be able to describe proactive behavior and will develop proactive responses.
Week 9 | Habit 2: Begin with the End in Mind, Thinking Ahead (M9 L33-36)
Learners will be able to describe Habit 2 and practice Beginning with the End in Mind using mental and physical creations.
Week 10 | Habit 2: Begin with the End in Mind, Developing My Personal Mission Statement (M10 L37-40)
Learners will be able to develop a personal mission statement that reflects qualities and goals that matter most to them.
Week 11 | Habit 2: Begin with the End in Mind, Living by my Personal Mission Statement (M11 L41-44)
Learners will be able to practice using their personal mission statements to make good choices for themselves and others.
Week 12 | Habit 3: Put First Things First, My Priorities* (M12 L45-48)
Learners will be able to develop a list of their priorities and describe Big Rocks.
Week 13 | Habit 3: Put First Things First, Making Decisions (M13 L49-52)
Learners will be able to describe how their priorities can help them make positive decisions at home and school.
Week 14 | Habit 3: Put First Things First, Planning Each Week (M14 L53-56)
Learners will be able to describe activities connected to their Big Rocks and organize them into a weekly plan.
Week 15 | The 4 Disciplines of Execution®: Learning About Goals* (M15 L57-60)

Learners will be able to celebrate their strengths and select a Wildly Important Goal.

Learners will be able to describe honesty and practice telling the truth.

Week 22 | Habit 4: Think Win-Win, Courage and Consideration (M22 L85-88)
Learners will be able to explain what it means to have courage and consideration and will practice utilizing sentence stems to show both courage and consideration.
Week 23 | Habit 4: Think Win-Win, Helping and Asking for Help (M23 L89-92)
Learners will be able to explain how helping others and asking for help can help them to Think Win-Win.
Learners will be able to listen to others with their eyes, ears, body, and heart and explain why it’s important to listen to others.
Learners will be able to identify others’ feelings and practice listening with empathy.
Learners will be able to define respect and describe why communicating respectfully helps them to be understood.
