Pupil Premium

Free School Meals (FSM) and Pupil Premium Eligibility

If you are receipt of any of the following benefits your child may qualify for FSM:

Children may also get FSM if they receive any of these benefits directly, instead of through a parent.

The school operates a cashless canteen system with all purchases being made via students’ identity cards.  Students receiving FSMs have their cards credited automatically each day.  Students receiving Free School Meals cannot be identified by their peers or staff who are not directly involved in their support.

The canteen offers excellent food on a daily basis and a range of hot meals, sandwiches, paninis and a salad bar with Halal options available each day.

In addition, children who are eligible for FSM will receive Pupil Premium funding for the next 6 years, or until they enter the Sixth Form.  Pupil Premium funding provides significant funding to the school to directly support the learning of that student.  This support can include financial help with trips, uniform and equipment, including ICT access.

Students receiving Pupil Premium funding cannot be identified by their peers or staff who are not directly involved in their support.

Please contact Mr John jjohn@burnhamgrammar.org.uk in confidence if you wish to receive more information on this.

In addition, please contact Mr John if you have been in receipt of Free School Meals at any point in the last 6 years (FSM6).  This could access significant Pupil Premium funding that would be used to directly benefit your child.

Students on FSM or FSM6 are also eligible to apply for a £100 uniform voucher/rebate on production of receipts to the Finance department.
