230 Total Credits Needed to Graduate
Please note that JBHS Graduation Requirements are NOT the same as those for the CSU's and UC's

Must Include: 1 Year of Biological Science & 1 Year of Physical Science
5. Physical Education
2 Years Required
6. Practical Art

Requirement waived with 3rd year of a foreign language

8. Health & Careers
1 Year Required
9. Electives
Additional credits as needed to complete a total of 230 credits
10. Service Learning
10 hours total
CSU A-G Requirements
A. History and Social Science
2 Years Required
Must Include: 1 year of US History or US History and Government; 1 year of another approved Social Science (World History, Government/Econ, etc.)
B. English
4 Years Required
C. Math
3 Years Required (4 Years Recommended)
Includes: Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, or higher-level math courses
D. Laboratory Science
2 Years Required
Must Include: 1 Year of Biological Science & 1 Year of Physical Science
E. Language (other than English)
2 Years Required
Must be the same language
Can Include: Spanish, French, ASL, German, Armenian, etc.
F. Visual and Performing Arts
1 Year Required
Can Include: Dance, Drama, Theater, Choir, Band, Art, Photography, etc.
G. College Prep Elective
1 Year Required
Can Include: Courses approved in the A-F subject areas beyond those used to satisfy the requirements of the A-F subjects
UC A-G Requirements
A. History and Social Science
2 Years Required
Must Include: 1 year of US History or US History and Government; 1 year of World History or European History. Government/Econ is also accepted
B. English
4 Years Required
No more than one year of ESL-type courses can be used to meet this requirement
C. Math
3 Years Required (4 Years Recommended)
Includes: Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, or higher- level math courses
D. Laboratory Science
2 Years Required
Can Include: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Earth/Space Science
Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Science courses can be used in this area as an additional science (if you want to list more than the 2 required years)
E. Language (other than English)
2 Years Required (3 Years Recommended)
Must be the same language
