Mrs. Jennifer Lee is our Art Teacher for all grades in our school, as well as the Religion teacher for 1st, 3rd & 4th grades. She became the BSS Art and Elementary Religion teacher in 2019, but her connections to BSS spans for more than 20 years! Mrs. Lee attended Wingate University and holds an Associate of Arts, Effective Teaching Training and Basic Catechism Training.
Mrs. Lee shares with us, "What I love most about BSS is how it feels like home. Coming to work gives me an extended family, and a steady constant in my life! BSS is not just a school, it is a family. When I toured the school with my husband in the year 2000 as a 27 year-old mom, I never imagined this school would give me and my children lifelong friends and a “family”. I look forward to spending many more years here as a Knight"
Mrs. Lee and her husband Bobby have 4 children: Jessica, Savannah (AlumnKnight '12), Olivia (AlumnKnight '16) and Ryder (AlumnKnight '19). The three youngest attended Blessed Sacrament School PS thru 8th grade. They all loved being a part of the BSS community and playing sports for the Knights. Mrs. Lee shares, "BSS has shaped them into the great students, athletes, and the caring young adults they are today! Once a Knight.... Always a Knight"
The family also has 3 dogs; twin poodles and a hound dog. When she is not at work, Mrs. Lee loves spending time with her family and traveling. The Lee's enjoy spending holidays and summers with their family in Florida, and they love going camping. Mrs. Lee enjoys all things sports and loves to read a good book!
My favorite STREAM project my students create is...
This project was completed in conjunction with the Second Grade Dinosaur Unit.
Students in second grade chose a dinosaur to research and do a project on.
Students will write paragraphs and complete fun activities in the second grade classroom.
In Art Class, students drew rough drafts of pictures of their chosen dinosaur.
2019 - Students created a dinosaur structure out of paper tubes, corks, popsicle sticks etc. They were then paper mache and students painted their dinosaur structure. These were placed in the Dino Day display with the facts and paper that they wrote in second grade.
In Art Class students drew rough drafts of pictures of their chosen dinosaur.
2020 - Students then took their drawings and created a watercolor painting of their dinosaurs. They were framed in 8x10 Art and placed in the dino days with the facts and paper they wrote in second grade.
