Graphing stories enabled students to demonstrate their understanding of analyzing graphs as well as choosing the medium (book, video and slideshow) in which to display their final story. Students opting to create their own video and slideshow use various formats (Google Slides, Loom, Flipgrid) to complete the project and to utilize technology in the given task. Depending on individual strengths and talents, students could also create a book demonstrating their understanding of the concept.
The objective of this experience was for students to demonstrate their understanding of graphs as a functional relationship between two quantities by allowing student choice on method of presentations (book, slideshow, video, etc.).
