Science and Social Studies

Science and Social Studies topics are based on Ohio’s New Learning Standards and will be discussed frequently in our first grade classroom. The topics will be addressed thematically throughout the school year, and are often integrated into our Wit and Wisdom lessons and Everyday Math lessons for a more authentic mode of learning. We will also use videos and lessons from Generation Genius and Brainpop to help solidify students' understandings of some science and social studies concepts. At times, students will also get the opportunity to complete a project surrounding these concepts!
