3.8- Informational Practice

IN CLASS: To review for our midterm, we are going to break into 2 different groups to read an article and compare and contrast them to a poem called "First They Came." Ms. Hall will give you your group and your article.

FIRST READ THE ARTICLE

1. ANNOTATE!! Go to the Class Resources Page if you need the Nonfiction Notice and Note signposts. MINIMUM OF 5 ANNOTATIONS.

2. Write an objective summary of the article. Go to lesson 3.2 if you need a summary review.

3. Answer the multiple choice AND short answer questions on your paper.

4. Check it against the answer key. Go to Ms. Hall if you're getting any wrong, and we will talk through them.

THEN READ THE POEM

3. Create an organizer to help you compare and contrast the poem and the article (can be a Venn Diagram, T Chart, whatever you like).

Then in a CONSTRUCTED RESPONSE using TWO PIECES of evidence answer this question:
