Concert Choir

Welcome to BJH Concert Choir!  BJH is proud to offer a concert choir to all students in grades 6 through 8 that is active, all-inclusive, and meets high standards of instruction and performance. 

• Students elect to schedule concert choir through the scheduling process each year.

• There is a concert choir offered as a graded, academic course for each grade level that is scheduled during the school day on alternating days.

• We have an active performance calendar that highlights our performing arts students. 

• Students in concert choir have the opportunity to participate in several extra-curricular choral ensembles including Advanced Choir, 7th/8th Grade A cappella, District 3 MMEA Honors, and the ACDA Honors Festival.

• Choral Music participation is a life-long activity that promotes strong community, higher functioning thinking skills, social and emotional health, leadership skills, and a greater connection to the world around us. 

• The BSD choral program begins at HBS and continues in a strong, spiraled curriculum through graduation.
