Advanced Choir is a co-curricular ensemble that includes chorus students in grade 6 through 8 who wish to experience vocal technique and ensemble that challenges vocal and ensemble skills. Students must be members in good standing in a BJH concert choir. There are no auditions, but students must commit to the high standards of this ensemble to participate by attending rehearsals and working within the ensemble to create music together. Advanced Choir performs in 2 concerts per year and also is adjudicated at the Great East Festival in May. We rehearse on Tuesday and Friday mornings from 7:00AM until 7:45 AM in the chorus room from September through June.
School Cancellation/Delay Policy for Extra-Curricular Ensembles:
Rehearsals are only held on days where school is in session. If school is cancelled, all rehearsals are cancelled.
If school is delayed, we will delay the start of the ensemble rehearsal.
We ask that students attend if they can get here safely and have a ride. Please make the choice that is best for your situation!
