Krystle Smith is the band director at Westbrook Middle School in Westbrook, Maine and has been in this position since 2006.  The band program includes over 250 students from four grade levels (5-8), including a jazz band program.  Her husband, Kyle Smith, is the band director at Westbrook High School and host of the “Growing Band Director Podcast”.  

Mrs. Smith is a 2004 graduate of Gordon College, in Wenham, Massachusetts, where she studied under Dr. David Rox.  She has been hired as a guest adjudicator and clinician for both Maine (District 2 Honors Jazz Band, District 2 Honors Band, and District 5 Intermediate Honors Band) and New Hampshire (clinician and adjudication for NHMEA).  

Mrs. Smith resides in Westbrook with her husband and two children, Addison (13) and Jack (10), who will be 11 tomorrow!
