Band and Orchestra are activities that require the participation of all of its members to be successful. An absence of just one student can seriously affect the performance for all members of the ensemble. All groups will perform in a spring and a winter concert and may include several other performances as well. Students will be notified of concert dates and times well in advance. If there is a legitimate excuse for missing a concert, students must submit a parent letter and it must be cleared by us at least two weeks prior to a performance. A legitimate illness is an excused absence.

A student will be docked a minimum of 2 letter grades for an unexcused absence.
