Staff are our front-line workers in academic units, and an integral part of our department communities. So when disruptions to how staff view and perform their work occurs (e.g., grad student unionization; mass shooting; etc.), it is important to think about how such factors may impact how we think about evaluating staff performance. This workshop seeks to help chairs and directors in thinking about how to balance support for staff during times of challenge or transition while also delivering on work obligations, and how to deliver effective performance evaluations for staff more generally.

Chairs are provided with the online faculty salary increase tool
Chairs meet individually with the Dean to review their salary submissions for their department faculty (this takes place from February through April)
