Choose a word and search for it in a book.
Practise writing the alphabet.
Sorting and writing capital letters/lower case.
Hide letters/words around house (can they find the whole alphabet within 5 minutes, for instance).
Write a shopping list.
Label things around the house with post-its.
Scavenger hunt.
Write a letter to their favourite character (you could send them a reply!)
Please look at phase 2 - Robot arms to sound out a word, can your child tell you the word?
Write a sentence, cut it into words and ask your child to put the sentence back together so that it makes sense.
