Low income can have serious effects on an individual's mental health and can sometimes lead to substance abuse. For example, if someone is struggling with low income, they could be a parent working multiple jobs to get by, or it could be a younger individual getting paid minimum wage struggling to keep their head up.
Struggling financially can really hurt one's mental state as well as the feelings of constantly worrying about meeting basic needs and the limited access to healthcare can all play a role in a person's anxiety and overall emotional stress. It can over time, lead to a sense of hopelessness and can cause low self-esteem.
Many factors come into play when it comes to how low income got this way, like lack of education, work experience, and job opportunities. it’s not just one deliberate thing.
Even the rise in costs for housing, inflation, and unemployment are all big factors in low income. Without being employed, a person cannot bring in the money they need to get by.
Lack of education can also play a role. A lot of people won't hire you if you don’t have a high school diploma or have at least been to college.
Housing prices can be a huge factor, if housing takes up a large portion of their monthly income it can limit their access to be able to buy necessities.
It’s a big deal because everyone deserves to have a safe place to call home and some people don’t even have that.
Economic shifts also play a part in it all, when the economy takes a hit jobs can become scarce and wages might stagnate or they can even drop, this makes it harder for individuals to make ends meet.
Today's issue with low income is bad. A lot of people work many, many hours and don't make the money they earn. They get very little money and don't have enough to pay for what they need.
Today, people with low income can barely pay for groceries and their bills. They can eventually lose everything if it gets too bad. You can lose your home, kids, and more.
Today all these people struggle. They work and don't have enough money, still they work everyday all day and eventually don't have enough time to be with their family or kids.. There living risks has a high risk of diseases or sicknesses. Having to live in low income can cause barely being able to buy your children clothes, which means your kids won't have a lot of clothes to wear anywhere.
You can also miss out on good education. A lot of others that have more money get a good education. People with more money have more opportunities than people that live in low income.
They can do more things like trips, better education, and more things. People who have more money can have nicer things than low income people do. Low income people may not have the nicest things but they do try hard for everything they have otherwise they wouldn't be living in their house or have a car or really have anything.
Also, people who live with low income also sometimes have to work more than one job to make enough money to pay for bills and even other things. People working more than one job can get more money to support them and their family making more money to pay for their bills.
Supporting small businesses can have a positive impact on low-income individuals in a few different ways. When you choose to support a small business and purchase from it, it is creating opportunities with the community.
These businesses often hire locals, providing opportunities for people in the area, including those struggling with low income.
Affordable housing policies can be a huge help for low income individuals, these policies aim to help provide safe affordable housing options. They aim to help struggling families and low income individuals, these policies also help with the burden of high housing costs.
Increasing access to quality education and job training programs can be a big game changer for low income individuals. It can help them with the skills and knowledge they may need for a better job opportunity. The better the job the higher the pay, education and training can help break the cycle of poverty by helping individuals become more self-sufficient.
Low income is something that so many people struggle with. The policymakers can reduce poverty and advance opportunity for all children. They could make the child tax credit larger and fully available to all the children living in poverty. They can also have quality education with children.
This can make it better by knowing how to live their future life or even going to college schools to succeed and get really good jobs that pay them enough.
All the children that have poor education, they will never learn how to live their future life. People who are affected by low income will be able to eventually get out of the low income stage if they're working the right amount of hours and getting their money they need.
Low income is something you can't get out of unless you get enough money.
People struggle with this and it's sad because there's so many of them.
“I wish I could say poverty would be solved, but I don't think it will ever be,” Accredited Financial Counselor Todd Christensen said.
There are roughly 38 million people living in low income or was living in low income. That's a lot of people that struggle with living their life. Many feel like people with low income should have more opportunities and should be able to do more things like people with more money do.
