Some people would say that Brookings is a very beautiful place, but here there are a lot of problems. The views are nice and there are pretty things that you can go see and do in our town. But Brookings does have a very bad drug problem and that hurts our town.

Here in Brookings, Oregon there are a lot of very bad drug problems.  Drugs are very bad and they can get you into very bad things and get into a lot of trouble. People that are on drugs sometimes go crazy and freak out, we do not want that on our streets. 

“Drugs can take over your brain and get you into a lot of trouble, including prison,” Seani Mazzettia, Case Records Manager at Pelican Bay State Prison said. 

When we talk about drugs in the past, realize that they weren't as bad as they are today. Drugs in the past were not as bad because people did not know about some of them and they were very illegal but now drugs are so well known even kids are getting started on drugs. 

In the past people started using medicine as drugs. Medicine was the first drug that people started on. I have learned this in health classes that I have taken.  Then harder drugs started getting made over time until they got so bad now they are hurting people physically and mentally. 

In the past, we had less homeless because there was less of a drug issue going on. In the past we still had people that had big drug problems that were struggling with their own problems but they have gotten so much worse. 

In the past nobody could go and buy drugs so easily it should have never changed. In the past drugs were still a very bad thing. They started very early in time but as time went on the drug use increased so much. Drug rehabs did start a long time ago but I think that if we are going to help the drug problem we need to have more drug rehab places around the world. 

Today's drugs are a very bad issue. People are getting into so many drugs at such a young age and they don't even know better. 

We have so many drug problems going on in our town because that is all that some people know. Some people are born into families like that and then that is all they know is drugs. 

Today drug issues are getting so bad because more things are getting to be legal. We have one place in Brookings that can help some people with their drug problems but I think that we need an actual place where the homeless can stay and get people help with their bad drug problems. It is also about getting people help with their mental issues. 

Some people that have bad mental issues end up turning to drugs because they think that it will make them stop hurting but in the real world it really just makes it worse. New drugs keep getting made and it keeps hurting us because all of these drugs are deadly and they are making people turn to homelessness. People are losing their homes and their jobs and even their families due to drugs. 

It is a really hard task but people are trying really hard to stop these drug problems. 

Looking ahead, in the future of stopping drugs we all need to start getting people help or else drugs are going to keep taking over lives. 

We need to look at other people's point of view and get them help with their problems. In the future everyone needs to start helping people instead of judging them for the problems that they have. 

In closing, in the future while we are on the road to helping people with their drug problems, we are going to help people with their problems and stop judging them for it. 

Our town can continue to get better and everyone will be happier and healthier. Everyone should continue to get people's help to be on the road to stop doing drugs. If we do this all of our lives can continue to get better.
