Drama at Brookings-Harbor High School

Students are walking to their next class, chatting with their friends, and then next thing you  know, two students are arguing about something that one of them said. A teacher comes by and tells them to go talk with the school counselor about what happened.

School drama is always happening because some students are having problems at home, or just because they are dealing with other things. Others believe that the reason why people start drama is because not everyone has friends at all and they may be jealous of other kids. 

“Students believe that school drama is most likely to start in hallways or in classrooms,” Kristi Fulton, the Brookings-Harbor High School counselor said. 

The reason why school drama has always been a problem was because people wanted attention from other people. School drama is most likely to occur when some people are arguing about something  that they heard from other people.

What are some actions that students can take if they're experiencing or seeing drama?  

“Some of the actions that people can take to not be in school drama is stay out of it, not get involved in drama as much, ignore it, or just try and change friend groups,” Fulton said. 

Sometimes the things that make school drama is the friend group. If you ever do these things, then and maybe then have you just avoided school drama and saved your life, your awesome friends, and more importantly your grades. And from there you will have a good and happy life if you just avoid school drama, why? Because you don’t need it in your life. 

Finally, most likely the reason why school drama happens often is also because someone could be bullied. 

There’s drama everywhere, like at home, school, or even at work. If you just learn to just ignore all the drama and maybe change the friend group that you're in, then everything will be alright. 

As long as you just  stay out of it then you’ll have a wonderful life and will not have to worry about anything.
