You know what they say about one person's trash...
We are grateful for any donations made to our Upcycle Center. While we are getting up and running, we are looking for items large and small. Anything from a still-working sewing machine to a box of stickers. Here are some ideas:
Sewing/Fiber: Needles (tapestry and sharp), embroidery floss, yarn (various weights), felt sheets, fabric scraps, poly-fill stuffing, crochet hooks (sizes H or J are best for beginners), buttons, patches, yarn, thread, lace, ribbon, etc.
Paper/Art: Wall paper remnants, Watercolor paper, watercolor sets, brushes, ink pads, linoleum cutters, soft-cut blocks, Mod Podge, calligraphy pens, old magazines (for collage).
Jewelry/Leather: Leather scraps, alphabet stamps, mallets, jewelry pliers, beads, hemp cord, 550 paracord, jump rings, and lobster clasps.
Adhesives: Hot glue guns (low temp), glue sticks, tacky glue, masking tape, washi tape, and duct tape.
Cutting Tools: Fabric shears, paper scissors, precision craft knives (for teacher-supervised use), and self-healing cutting mats.
Measuring: Metal rulers, measuring tapes, and protractors.
Hard Goods: Cardstock, cardboard (recycled shipping boxes are great!), button maker blanks (1-inch or 2.25-inch), and Sharpies.
To make a donation, please contact the WMS Teacher-Librarian, Jacquelyn Whiting at whitingj@brookfieldps.org and she can let you know if we have space for and can accept what your are offering. If so, she will arrange for delivery.
