Car Parking

The University operates a parking permit system.

Students can apply for a parking permit here:

There will be a period of grace during September so Year 1 students will not require a parking permit until 30 September 2022

Please be aware that possession of a parking permit does not guarantee a parking space. We anticipate that most students will have no issue parking as needed, but there may be days when parking is limited. You are not permitted to park in other business car parks within the Delta business park. Cars are parked at owner’s own risk.

Students coming from areas not well served by public transport are requested to carshare with others where possible, which will also save them travel costs. You can sign-up to the Swindon liftshare website at the following weblink to find others to share your journey to Swindon with:

Public transport

The 1 / 1A bus service links West Swindon to the town centre and beyond to Great Western Hospital. The service runs frequently throughout the day Monday to Friday with bus stops just a short walk from the university. In addition, the 1B stops at Westlea fire station and also links with the town centre. These services are operated by Thamesdown Transport.

Cycle parking racks and secure bike storage are available on site. There is also a pool of bikes available for hire by students/staff. Please contact Caroline Robertson in the site office (JOF - JOF.G.02) at Swindon for further details.

Please note there are shower facilities on site for student use.
