Background
One of the key enablers in the University Strategy 2035 is Digital which will drive the development of a new digital strategy. This digital strategy will enable new ways of doing things, unlock new capabilities and insights, and advance the goals of each of the University Strategic pillars:
Education and Enterprise
Research and Innovation
People and Culture
Partnerships and Place
It will seek to change the way the University sees a problem and provides a comprehensive solution that often involves new pathways and approaches for dealing with a critical issue. At its core the success of the new digital strategy will require intentional shifts in culture, people and technology, and it is the fusion of these shifts in culture, people and technology that provides the mechanism for achieving and sustaining a successful digital strategy.
The new digital strategy will build on the success and lessons learnt from the recent IT Strategy.
THE TIMEFRAMES FOR THE STRATEGY
WHAT HAVE WE ACHIEVED TO DATE?
May 2023
To develop the strategy we have consulted with staff across faculties and directorates, and students, through interviews, focus groups and a digital summit. These sessions have focused on understanding how digital is impacting the current experience and where it could improve the experience in the future. As part of this we also explored what each of the University’s four strategic pillars (Education & Enterprise, Research & Innovation, People and Culture, Partnership and Place), required from the digital environment.
We would like to thank all who have been engaged in this project to date.
