Semester Course- Paired with Beginning Art
This beginner course introduces students to the basics of theater. They will also work on developing confidence and self-discipline, which will help them achieve both short- and long-term goals in theater and in life.

This full-year course builds on the basics of theater and introduces students to more advanced acting techniques and technical theater skills. Students will enhance their understanding of performance while also learning about set design, lighting, sound, costumes, and other technical aspects of theater production.
Participation in three productions is required, and students may need to bring specific supplies or items related to their role in each production, similar to the beginner course. This course is designed for students who are ready to further develop their talent and commitment in both acting and technical theater.
Performance Arts
Prerequisite: Audition and Beginning Theatre/Teacher Recommendation.
This advanced theater arts class is designed for students who want to go beyond Theater Arts I and take on greater challenges in both performance and technical theater. Students in this course will have mandatory after-school commitments, as they will prepare and perform a fall production.
In the spring, this class becomes the UIL One-Act Play competition team, where students will put on a full production to compete against other schools. Additionally, students will attend the Texas Thespians Junior Festival, where they can compete, showcase their talents, and attend workshops to deepen their theater skills.
This course requires purchases for t-shirts, festival fees, and performance-related items. It is ideal for dedicated students ready for a high level of commitment and an exciting theater experience.
