The National Office is happy to share the following library of Teaching Fellow professional development workshops to train your Teaching Fellows this summer. These were designed to be add-ons to BIT and REDI and be used throughout the summer and align with our human-centered philosophy. As with all of our resources they are yours to edit and adapt to meet the needs of your cohort.

Objective: To understand your role as an advisor or mentor this summer at Breakthrough by sharing examples, reviewing sample scenarios, and setting a goal.
Objective: You will reflect on how you’re already differentiating in the classroom and generate additional strategies for effectively teaching all students by identifying differentiation strategies contained in a Breakthrough lesson and adding additional measures to better reach a particular student.
Objective: Today you will apply your understanding of Active Participation by identifying three new AP prompts/engagement strategies to use in next week’s lesson plans.
Objective: Today, we will take a closer look at the growth mindset and the challenges we all face in learning to live it by learning and practicing key strategies to improve our ability to grow from feedback.
Objective: Today, you will learn about stress management and stress reduction techniques and self-care by exploring some practices and reflecting on opportunities to use them in your life.
Objective: Today, you will be able to use your lived experiences and reflect on how you have handled difficult conversations in the past and generate strategies to address difficult conversations through a restorative lens by learning the history of restorative justice and learning tools to support difficult conversations.
