It is our desire to allow the lives of our learners to be exposed to a cultural field they may have not had the experience in.
We strongly encourage learners to take part in at least one cultural activity offered at Bracken High School.
We solemnly acknowledge our student's diversity by understanding the importance of promoting cultural awareness.
Cultural Activities offered at Bracken High School
Bracken High School offers a wealth of cultural activities to learners including acting, singing, public speaking and art.
We host annual House Plays and take part in the EADS festival (Edenvale Amateur Drama Society) where casts perform plays in competition with other schools. Learners are given the opportunity to participate in the Alberton Eisteddfod in which they are able to perform in drama, dance, music and poetry performances. The Eisteddfod also offers opportunities for artists and budding photographers to showcase their talent. Our choir has received numerous prestige awards in their competitions and travelled far and wide to perform to various audiences. Learners are also invited to participate in the public speaking Speech Festival and Pop Poetry Recitals.
