Dear Lee Academy Families,

The past month has been historic in our Country, State, City, and living rooms. We have been asked to do things that we could never have imagined to protect our neighbors and ourselves from this virus. We have risen to the call. Thank you to those of you who are still working each day to support the most vulnerable among us and provide the essential services that our community needs. Thank you to our educators for reaching out to families and providing support with learning and beyond. Thank you to each of you that has partnered with us to help our children keep actively learning. We know that you did not sign up to homeschool your child and it is hard especially when you have so many other responsibilities and just making it through the day in this new reality may seem like a huge victory.

This coming week is Boston Public Schools’ April Break. We are keeping this as a break so that everyone can pause and just breathe. The past month has been a sprint as we all worked to reorder our lives to accommodate this new reality. This break will allow us to settle in and get ready for whatever the remainder of the school year will bring. Use this time to engage in conversations with your children, family and friends. Explore the springtime in Boston (practicing social distancing) and relax as much as you can.

As always when we return from April break, our teachers will once again set expectations and work with you and your child so that they are prepared to finish the learning of this year and begin the next school year in a position of strength. We do not yet know what the remainder of this school year will bring but know that whatever it is we are here to support you and your child however you need.

Once again thank you for all that you do. We are in this together!

.

Warm Regards,
