Dear Third Grade Families,
We hope you are all well. This is a stressful time for both students and families. We wish that we were at school learning alongside your children. However, we hope that our students will continue their learning at home during these unexpected times.
Maintaining a routine and schedule is important for young learners. If you are able, please create a schedule that works for you and your family, that includes both a mix of play and academic time. Here is an example of a possible schedule:
We understand that the current situation is completely unprecedented and that we all need to do what makes the most sense for our own families. Please know that anything we send home is meant to be helpful, not create extra anxiety. Please use only what works for you.
Attached is a packet of work for students to complete during the week of March 16-20. Students should complete a reading passage and question set, a writing prompt, and their assigned math review for the day. In addition, students can access online programs and apps to continue their learning. Students are familiar with different online programs: Reflex Math, RAZ-Kids, and Typing Club (room 203 only). We will be in touch about learning activities for the future weeks. Please let us know if you have any questions. We are here to help!
