Dear Kilmer K8 Families,

By now you have heard the Boston Public Schools will continue remote/online learning through the rest of the year. Students will not return to buildings through June. In an effort to support our families to the very best of our abilities the Kilmer K8 staff have put together this website to centralize instructional assignments, food resources, COVID-19 resources and more. Over the next 6 weeks we will keep information here.

We fully recognize families are rearranging their households, setting up childcare, and so much more to accommodate and navigate these next several weeks. We encourage families to reach out with any questions and concerns. We are here for you! We are in this together!

Kimberley Williams, Principal kwilliams3@Bostonpublicschools.org

Danikka Moses, Assistant Principal dgiarratani@bostonpublicschools.org

Aimee Smith Munnelly, ABA Strand Specialist asmithmunnelly@bostonpublicschools.org

Maria Centeio, SEL Climate Coordinator & Homeless Liaison mcenteio@bostonpublicschools.org

Katie Collins, Upper Campus Student Support Para ccollins2@bostonpublicschools.org

Families are also welcome to reach out to your child's individual teachers.

Thank you,

Kilmer K8 Administration and Staff

Many children successfully learn from home every year and while this is not what we chose, we hope this site supports you and your child to get through the next 5 weeks with access to learning resources and supports. One way to make learning at home successful is by having a daily schedule or routine. The below link provides and example schedule for keeping consistent and/or learning at home. Please adapt it to whatever works for your family.

Your student’s Clever portal can be accessed at www.bostonpublicschools.org/backpack using their BPS email and password. Need more support? Check out the docs below!

Below are pages for each grade level with resources for learning. Families should check this website for new information and updates from their teachers and the district throughout the 6 weeks.
