UAV - FPV Pilot – Tactical Operations

The UAV Pilot will operate advanced drones in high-risk environments, requiring strong FPV flying skills, precision control, and proficiency in ArduPilot, Betaflight, and iNav under challenging conditions.

Key Responsibilities

A. FPV Kamikaze & Munition Dropping Operations (>3 kg Platforms)

• Perform highly skilled FPV manual flights with exceptional precision and fast reaction time.

• Capable of high-speed manual control (acro flying ability is a plus).

• Execute long-range FPV missions, strike profiles, and munition dropping runs.

• Navigate low-altitude/high-speed FPV routes with confident terrain awareness.

• Utilize HD/analog FPV systems reliably in complex terrain.

B. Autonomous & Semi-Autonomous Operations

• Execute missions using ArduPilot, iNav, and Betaflight.

• Transition smoothly between autonomous modes and full manual control in EW conditions.

1. Electronic Warfare (EW) / Anti-Jamming Expertise

A. GPS Jamming & Spoofing

• Detect spoofing (GPS drift, false vectors, EKF divergence).

• Recover manually using FPV navigation, dead-reckoning, and non-GPS modes.

• Fly >3 kg platforms confidently in GNSS-denied environments.

B. Radio Jamming / Interference

• Handle uplink jamming, video interference, telemetry loss.

• Experience with FHSS radios, PMDDL/MIMO links, LRS systems.

• Execute jamming recovery procedures during RF blackout.

2. Technical Skills & Platform Expertise

Flight Controller Ecosystem:

• ArduPilot – PID tuning, harmonic notch, GPS/failsafe tuning, mission planning.

• Betaflight – manual tuning, blackbox, filtering, OSD setup.

• iNav – cruise modes, LR navigation, RTH optimization.

Hardware / Payload Systems:

• Heavy FPV drones (>3 kg), munition release systems.

• DJI O3, Walksnail, HDZero, analog LR FPV systems.

Field Maintenance:

• VTX tuning, antenna checks, ESC/motor/prop health.

3. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain DVR evidence, mission logs, EW incident reports.

• Report GPS jumps, link dropouts, gyro noise.

• Support R&D; with structured feedback.

Eligibility

• Excellent FPV flying skills with strong high-speed manual control.

• Acro flying ability is a plus.

• Experience flying >3 kg FPV/tactical drones.

• Proficiency in ArduPilot, Betaflight, iNav.

• Experience in GPS-denied/jammed conditions.

Preferred:

• Tactical FPV/kamikaze or munition delivery experience.

• SDR/RF experience.

• DGCA RPC preferred.
