Students New to Bonita Unified: Getting Started for the 2025-2026 School Year

Welcome to the Bonita Unified School District. This is the place to begin if you want to get a student started in one of our programs for the first time. 

To start the process:

1. Review the age and residency information below for the child you wish to enroll

2. Scroll down the page and click the link that best describes your residence and what you desire for your student new to Bonita Unified School District

For new students in grades K-12, it is important to note that once the online enrollment information has been submitted by clicking on the appropriate link below (described above in step 2), you must promptly do the following BEFORE your student is officially enrolled:

• print the document from the online enrollment process

• collect copies of immunization records and proof of age

• submit all documentation to the school in person

  • Such documentation shall include 2 forms of proof of residency (i.e. utility bill, lease agreement)

For new students in grade TK, proceed to complete the online enrollment, however, do not submit the above documents until your school contacts you in April when preliminary placement has been completed.

Note on Transitional Kindergarten

All eight elementary schools will have transitional kindergarten programs in the 2025-2026 school year. If you are a resident in the neighborhood in which you wish to enroll, please click the first link above to begin the enrollment process. If you wish to enroll in a school other than your neighborhood school, please click the third link above to request an intra-district transfer permit.

Although all schools will offer transitional kindergarten programs, it is possible that the school you prefer will reach capacity in the transitional kindergarten program prior to the first day of school. If a school reaches capacity, priority for enrollment will be given to families with a returning sibling already attending that school, then to families without a returning sibling within the neighborhood of the school
