Section 504 Plans

Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 protects students with disabilities from discrimination based on their disabilities. Section 504 regulations require a school district to provide a free and appropriate public education (FAPE) to each qualified student within the jurisdiction of the school district, regardless of the nature or the severity of the disability.

Additional detailed information on 504 eligibility and procedures can be found in the Annual Parent Notification Guide in the "Notification of Right to Request 504 Eligibility Determination and Procedural Safeguards" section

Your child may be eligible for services under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.  If you have questions about services and accommodations that may be available under Section 504 for a student with a disability, or would like to request assessment to determine eligibility under Section 504, please contact the office at the school in which your child is enrolled.
