Home/Hospital Program

A student with a temporary disability which makes attendance in the regular day classes or the alternative educational program in which the pupil is enrolled impossible or inadvisable may receive individualized instruction for one hour a day for each day of the week that school is in session.

A student with a temporary disability, who is in a hospital or other residential health facility,  excluding a state hospital, may be deemed to have complied with the residency requirements for school attendance in the school district in which the hospital is located and would receive educational services from that district.  It is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to notify the school district in which the hospital or other residential health facility is located of the presence of a pupil with a temporary disability.

If you believe your child may be eligible for home/hospital instruction, please contact the office at your child's school, or contact the Office of Student Services at 909-971-8330, ext. 5321 for further information.
