HS Wind Ensemble

The HS Wind Ensemble season begins as soon as the marching season ends in October. The Wind Ensemble performs several times a year. A Christmas concert in December, Large Ensemble Contest in April, a Spring Concert in May, and the ensemble may perform for the Senior Graduation Ceremony. There are opportunities for players to audition for All-District Band, and participate in District and State Solo/Ensemble Festivals, and also be a part of the SBU Honor Band Day. In the event that enrollment warrants a second band, the Wind Ensemble will become an all auditioned band and a second Concert Band will be formed.
The Bolivar Wind Ensemble received its 20th "Exemplary" rating this spring at the MSHSAA State Large Ensemble Festival.
