The Computing PhD Program owns MacBooks that can be checked out to students.
Typically they are reserved for first-year students on Computing GA funding who are entering the program without a research advisor and the students can request a laptop via the New Student Intake form.
When students checkout a laptop they must complete a Laptop Checkout Form.
Once students identify a permanent research advisor and the advisor takes over their funding the laptop should be returned to the program and the advisor should take over supplying the student with the equipment they need for their research.
