LINES AND GEOMETRIC SHAPES
Make sure that you have the paper in a comfortable position for freehand drawing and not fixed down.
Turn it on an angle if that feels better.
Use an HB – 2B pencil.
REMEMBER
Hold your pencil loosely and away from the point.
Keep the paper free and not fixed down.
Avoid erasing too often.
Use different pressures on the pencil to achieve different tones.
Soft pencils smudge so don’t rub your hands over your work.
1. From the start point freehand sketch lines to the given dots. Make sure that you put your pencil on the start point and look at the point you are aiming at, not at your pencil.
2. Freehand sketch each set of parallel lines about 5mm apart as shown. Vertical, horizontal, and at 45° angles both ways.
3. Freehand sketch the following shapes.
