Advice I wish I knew Freshman year, would be to not think too much into everyone and what they’re doing. Do everything for yourself in your way. At the end of the day you only have yourself.

To the Freshman Class,
As a senior standing at the finish line, I wish I could go back and tell my freshman self a few things—and now I’m sharing them with you. First, take it all in. Every hallway conversation, every lunch table laugh, every late-night study session. These little moments matter. One day, you’ll look back and realize they were the best parts. Second, don’t be afraid to care. Care about your grades, your friends, your future. It’s okay to dream big and work hard for what you want. But it’s also okay to mess up. You’re going to make mistakes—what matters is how you grow from them. And finally, hold onto the people who make you feel seen, supported, and heard. Whether it’s a teacher who believes in you or a friend who checks in when no one else does, those connections will carry you through the tough days. These next four years will challenge you, change you, and shape you. Embrace it all. The time really does fly—and before you know it, you’ll be the ones writing letters like this. Wishing you strength, joy, and unforgettable memories.
- Andrea Boodram
Enjoy every moment!
- Andrea Urrieta
KEEP YOUR GRADES UP, its so simple and saves so much struggle down the line.
- Antony Pinales
I would tell my freshman self to stop being so worried about others perception of you. Take constructive criticism, as long as it’s truly constructive, and don’t change yourself for other people. Organize your classes in google classroom and if you can do an assignment in one day, do it the day it’s assigned. And last but not least, don’t burn out. If you’re putting in effort but you aren’t having fun what’s the point?
- Anniha Dorce
Freshman, I studied in two different high schools. Do not look or feel bad about school, if you attended high school with middle school friends...make new friends, don't be in trouble, do well when its about grades. Don't chase love during these 4 years ya'll. This time, just try to find happiness. No matter what don't feel sad about leaving middle school.
- Armando P. Alava
Some advice that I would like to give to freshman is don't be late to class, do your assignments on time, attend Wednesday schedule if you need help with an assignment, email your teachers if you are going to be absent. High school flys by very fast, so remember to have fun!

- Damian Olavarria-Acevedodecruz
Be open to embrace new things. Change doesn’t mean your world is falling apart, it may just be the beginning of a chapter that shapes you into a better you. Don’t hold in your emotions and learn to communicate and navigate them healthily and keep good company around you. Not everyone is your friend, but those who prove and show you they’re real, KEEP THEM. And lastly, get to know and love yourself better than anyone else because no one else would be able to do it if you don’t. Learn to put yourself first and what’s for your benefit. Your mental health and how you are in the inside needs as much attention and care as you put into someone or something else. AND STAY CONNECTED WITH GOD OR WHATEVER RELIGION YOU FOLLOW. It would be all you need/have to keep you going.
- Chelsealyn Wint
Let them be. If they're fake, let them go, there’s plenty of fish in the sea.

If I could tell my freshman self one thing, it would be this: don’t be afraid to find your voice early and trust that your perspective matters. High school isn’t just about grades or fitting in—it’s about discovering who you are and what you stand for. I wish I knew sooner that it’s okay to ask for help, to challenge ideas respectfully, and to stand up for what feels right, even if it’s uncomfortable. Building relationships with teachers and peers who support you will make the journey not only easier but richer. Most importantly, remember that mistakes don’t define you—they teach you. Be patient with yourself, stay curious, and embrace every part of the experience. Your story is just beginning, and how you show up now will shape the amazing path ahead.
