Virtual Learning at BIS

In the event that on campus education is not possible the school will switch to virtual learning. Our Virtual School Experience encompasses all learning that occurs beyond the physical school. This includes a blend of elements that are online and offline. All students are expected to complete virtual learning and attendance will be monitored at regular check in points.

Our online learning consists of synchronous activities such as 1:1 video conversations, whole group class calls and collaborative projects together with asynchronous independent tasks. This will be balanced with offline remote learning through non computer based activities, project based learning and assignments.

Our commitment to outstanding personalised learning and student progress is the same during the Virtual School Experience as when students are learning face to face. To support this we request that parents facilitate our virtual learning by ensuring attendance of your child, monitoring school updates and ensuring your child has a good space to learn and all the tools necessary to access our virtual school.
