ICT is a 2-year course with the final examination taking place at the end of the course.
This course provides learners with the ability to understand the rapid change of ICT in a technology-based world
and the impact ICT has on the world.
Students will develop:
• an understanding of the basic components, use and application of different ICT systems and networks
• the skills to analyse, design, implement, test and evaluate ICT systems
• the skills to understand the impact of current and new technologies on methods of working in the outside world
• the ability to recognise potential risks when using ICT, and use safe, secure and responsible practice.

Paper 1 – Theory:
Written paper, 1 hour 30 minutes, 80 marks
Weighting 40%
Paper 2 – Document Production, Databases and Presentations:
Practical test, 2 hours 15 minutes, 70 marks
Weighting 30%
Paper 3 – Spreadsheets and Website Authoring:
Practical test, 2 hours 15 minutes, 70 marks
Weighting 30%
