The 9-1 IGCSE in Geography is a two-year course with a 1h45m exam and a 1h30m exam taking place at the end of Year 11. The specification we follow consists of three themes: Population and Settlement, The Natural Environment, and Economic Development.
There is also an additional fieldwork element in which students complete a piece of Geographical Enquiry.

Paper 1: 1hr 45mins. 45% of final grade.
This paper assesses Geographical Themes.
Paper 2: 1hr 30mins. 27.5% of final grade.
This paper assesses Geographical Skills.
Geographical Enquiry: 27.5% of final grade.
A 2000 word report.
